Our range of solid timber doors are tailor made to your individual requirements to enhance the beauty of your home or workplace. We pride ourselves in the quality and craftsmanship which is utilized within all our door products. This leads to a range of doors which are not only elegant, but will be as strong and secure in the future as they are on the day they are first installed.
Below are photographs and drawings of our standard range of hardwood doors. However, the standard range does not always fit the requirements of the client. JMP Window Systems of Chester, Cheshire, in conjunction with manufacturers of the highest standard therefore produce a bespoke range of timber door design combinations to suit every wish. Doors can be combined with sidelights, fanlights, arches, windows etc, giving a practical solution to a requirement that can not always be satisfied from a standard range of products. Standard glazing is toughened for safety - optional guardian glass (Incorporating laminated glass plane), for enhanced security is available

Security and additional features
Security is obviously a large concern due to the rise in household burglaries. This has led to our range of timber doors adopting a three point dead lock with hook as standard. This lock has a traditional dead bolt along side the handle but also incorporates further dead bolts above and below. These extra locks are ideally situated to prevent doors being either kicked, or 'shoulder barged'. Multipoint locking systems also prevent bowing of the door style against the door frame and gasket resulting in the long term stability of the door
The standard lever handle is a durable and elegant handle,- however a feature pad handle is also available. If a special handle is required we can manufacture your door to accept a standard five lever mortise lock which is available with a multitude of handle options (please note that we would always recommend mortise bolts should be used with mortise locks). For additional security mortise bolts can be added to both the top and bottom
Everyday use of the door demands additional requirements such as letterboxes, security chains, spy holes and door knockers, all of which can be easily accommodated into one of our doors.
A standard brass hinge allows the door to swing fully but where brickwork or weather bar does not allow this parliament hinges will allow the door to be thrown wider of any brickwork

Technical details
The D2 hardwood door is 58mm thick and has been designed to accommodate 24mm double glazed units (for improved thermal properties). Like the D2 windows the D2 range of doors incorporate 18mm deep rebates with 7 deg drainage slopes to the bottom rebate (or alternatively concealed drainage channels) to ensure moisture cannot collect in the bottom rebate. The collection of moisture in the bottom rebate can result in the onset of rot and the failure of the double glazed unit (condensation between the two panes of glass within the double glazed unit). The double glazed units and feature panels are gasket glazed with internal security tape and external gasket and timber beads.
All the components of tour hardwood doors are mortise and tenoned, glued and wedged (as opposed to the weaker dowel joint) together with internal and external shadow groove. A wide range of colours are available in a durable finish by factory application of superior low maintenance, micro porous "Teknos" stains and paints.
Both standard open-in and open-out timber doors are fully weather stripped with a 44mm cill and a 20mm aluminium weather bar providing a gasket seal all around the door leaf..
