PVCu naturally attracts dirt and grime from the atmosphere, whether you are living near a busy road or in a more rural surrounding. It is therefore recommended that you clean your PVCu frames on a regular basis, every 4 to 6 months being the optimum.
Method: NON ABRASIVE and SOLVENT FREE cleaners are recommended, or even just a soapy solution, any other cleaners may affect the surface of your frames, causing tiny scratches and dulling the profile. A soft cloth is also recommended against an abrasive scrub. Once you have cleaned with your chosen detergent, rinse clean and wipe over with a dry clean cloth.
When opening the sashes on your doors and windows you will notice some channels, which over time collect dirt and grime. A wipe over with a damp cloth and the removal of any deposits is recommended every 4 to 6 months.
Maintenance of Moving Parts
Door
All moving parts including locks, hinges, stays and shootbolts should be regularly maintained to keep them operating smoothly. A build up of everyday grunge and grime can effect free and easy movement of these essential parts: it is therefore recommended that you maintain these moving parts every 4 to 6 months.
Method: 2 to 3 drops of lubricating oil such as 3 in 1 directly on to the moving parts as illustrated here will keep them free flowing. Anything more stubborn will benefit from a spray of WD40

Polycarbonate roofing panels must be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure that the maximum amount of light enters your living space. we recommend that this be carried out every 3 to 4 months.
Method: IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED THAT YOU WALK ON CONSERVATORY ROOFS. Long handled brushes are now widely available that are perfect for this job.
Strictly do not power hose or blow water under the radius end (crown point). Roof panels should be washed with a soapy water solution and rinsed off thoroughly. Only wash the roof in the direction of the grooves, this reduces the possibility of scratches. Whilst doing this it is also recommended that gutter and down pipes are checked for any blockages and cleared.
